The primary emphasis of anthropomorphizing the bike, components, and space is to represent a certain chaos of life, that we (or I, at least) are often surprised by. We often find ourself in a mess in life, things are in disarray as the business of life in general prevent us from finding the time to do the basics like clean, or cook, or manage our home, etc. Often 'the mess' is ignored until it reaches a critical mass and then suddenly everything is inexplicably out of place and we are left bewildered.
